Address Alert checks the Companies House website daily to check for the any new companies. Address Alert will go through all registered addresses, sending an email to any user where there is a new company at one of their addresses.

How likely is it that a fraudster will set up a fake company at my address?

The chances are low. The vast majority of people will never have to deal with the issue of someone setting up a fake company at their address. However, like insurance, Address Alert is there to help you in the unlikely event that it does happen.

How soon after a company is created will I be notified?

Address Alert works by checking the Companies House API to pull down any companies at a particular postcode. To begin with we will be checking the Companies House API every 24 hours to see if any new companies have been registered at the address. However, over time this may need to decrease based on the limits of the Companies House API.

Can I use Address Alert for multiple addresses?

Address Alert is set up to allow you to monitor as many addresses as you wish. This allows you to monitor the addresses of family members. For landlords it can allow you to monitor all of your properties in one place.
